About The Position

Orlando City SC is seeking a Merchandise Manager to oversee day-to-day merchandise sales and operations for Orlando City SC, Orlando Pride, and Inter&Co Stadium. The role assists the Sr. Director of Merchandise and Licensing with retail strategy, partner relations, business strategies, and departmental goals.

The manager supports merchandise operations, business-plan execution, sales performance, customer service, vendor and licensee relationships, inventory and product strategy, and the operation of ShopOrlandoPride.com. The role also recruits and manages a merchandise associate and supports promotional events and merchandise requests. Light travel is required, including annual MLS and NWSL Retail Summits.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a mix of retail, marketing, and merchandising operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to coordinate changing priorities in a dynamic, high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well both on a team and independently.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and creatively solve day-to-day challenges.
• Strong work ethic and a team-player attitude.
• Ability to pass a background screening.
• Ability to attain and maintain SafeSport certification.
• Excellent computer skills, including mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Merchandise Marketing, or a related field; preferred but not required.
• At least 1 year of management experience.
• Previous experience in merchandising or retail strategy.
• Knowledge of the game and fundamentals of soccer.
• Photoshop proficiency.
• Bilingual ability in Spanish or Portuguese.

Responsibilities

• Support merchandise operations for Orlando City, Orlando Pride, and Inter&Co Stadium.
• Assist in executing the merchandise business plan, monitoring retail performance, and identifying growth opportunities.
• Meet or exceed monthly and yearly sales goals.
• Work cross-functionally with departments to ensure merchandising needs are met.
• Support department budget adherence, payroll submission, purchase orders, and vendor payments.
• Assist with promotional events and merchandise operations.
• Fulfill external, internal, and player merchandise requests in a timely manner.
• Recruit and manage a merchandise associate to ensure operational standards are met.
• Maintain ShopOrlandoPride.com operations, including order fulfillment.
• Provide a high level of customer service to fans and external clients.
• Work with new club and MLS and NWSL vendors and licensees.
• Assist with merchandise strategy, product sales, inventory turns, and product creation.
• Foster and maintain relationships with the third-party in-venue retailer.
• Travel as needed, including to annual MLS and NWSL Retail Summits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
