About The Position

Perimeter Behavioral of Forrest City is hiring a Mental Health Technician (MHT) / Youth Care Worker to support children and adolescents receiving behavioral health care. The role helps maintain a safe, therapeutic environment while supporting patients’ daily routines, behavior goals, and life skills. This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule of four days on and two days off. Shifts are 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. Training is provided for physical intervention and restraint procedures. Perimeter Healthcare provides mental and behavioral health services in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, and outpatient settings, serving patients and families across multiple states. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of related experience in an assisted living, residential, or hospital setting; one year of experience as a military Corpsman may also qualify.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, push, and pull as needed to perform the role, including during restraints.

Nice To Haves

Psychiatric experience is preferred.
Education or work experience in psychology, human services, nursing, or social work is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive supervision and positive interaction with patients throughout the shift.
Observe and assess behavior, complete assigned observation rounds, and accurately document patient behavior.
Escort patients and help orient them to the unit.
Model and teach appropriate life skills and assist patients with activities of daily living.
Help maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
Use physical intervention or restraint when appropriate, following facility training and procedures.
