About The Position

Mom's Home Care is hiring a caregiver to support a male client in his home. The client has dementia, uses a walker, is incontinent, and needs assistance with showers. The caregiver will help with daily activities, provide companionship, maintain a safe and clean environment, and drive the client’s car to appointments and outings. Male or female caregivers may apply. The scheduled shifts are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with alternating Sundays, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The position pays $21 per hour plus applicable overtime. The company describes its care approach as providing comfort and dignity to seniors in their own homes, and offers caregivers 24/7 supervisor support, ongoing training, feedback, and appreciation bonuses and other surprises.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license to drive the client’s car for appointments and outings.
Two years of previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field is preferred.
Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Patience, humor, and kindness.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of first aid.
CPR certification.
Two years of previous caregiver or related-field experience.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, showers, and mobility support.
Monitor vital signs as needed to help ensure clients’ health and safety.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Drive clients to appointments, errands, and outings.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
