About The Position

Compass Health is hiring a full-time Mental Health Technician III at the Marc Crisis Triage Center in Everett, Washington. This client-facing role supports individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges in a recovery-focused, trauma-informed care environment. The center provides 24/7 mental health stabilization, walk-in emergency services, and next-day appointments. The technician works alongside Peer Counselors, Clinicians, Nurses, and Providers to provide stability and support to clients during crisis and recovery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science or a related field, or an associate degree plus two years of experience, or any four-year combination of education and relevant experience.
• Agency Affiliated Counselor status, or willingness to apply upon hire.
• Current First Aid/CPR and Food Handler’s Permit, or ability to obtain them within 90 days of hire.
• Valid Washington driver’s license and insurance, if applicable.
• Strong organizational, communication, and electronic medical record (EMR) skills.
• Ability to remain grounded, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Respect for cultural diversity and commitment to inclusion.

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting individuals with serious psychiatric conditions.
• Knowledge of recovery-based approaches and crisis de-escalation.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and support to clients during day shift hours.
• Deliver life-skills training in self-care, coping, and social interaction.
• Participate in client treatment planning and documentation.
• Support intake and discharge processes.
• Facilitate daily safety checks, vital signs, and risk assessments.
• Help maintain unit cleanliness and monitor mealtimes.
• Answer phones, take referrals, and provide consistent, compassionate support.
