About The Position

The Men's Spa Attendant is responsible for the efficient care of guests and the private lounge, locker, and fitness areas, including issuing guest items in a positive and professional manner. The attendant maintains a clean, neat, and immaculate facility while providing personal service. This visible role requires strong communication, a professional appearance, the ability to resolve conflicts, computer use, and knowledge of the resort. The position contributes to Pinehurst’s culture of genuine hospitality, trustworthiness, stewardship, and innovation.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and at least one year of related customer service experience, preferably in a spa environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Fluent and literate in English.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow directions and guest requests.
Knowledge of spa treatments and salon services.
Ability to multitask and be detail-oriented.
Ability to use a personal computer.
Ability to resolve conflicts and maintain a professional appearance.
Ability to walk, stand, sit, use hands and fingers, feel, and reach; occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Vision sufficient for close and distance vision, color vision, and adjusting focus.

Responsibilities

Greet guests; assign lockers; issue robes and slippers; and escort guests to service areas, locker rooms, wet areas, the fitness center, and manicure and pedicure areas in a timely manner.
Monitor the schedule and help ensure punctuality in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Protect each guest’s privacy and treat guests with care and respect.
Maintain a clean and orderly spa, including conducting walkthroughs of all areas.
Replenish robes, towels, lockers, sandals, toiletries, beverage dispensers, and other stock.
Explain the proper use of whirlpools, saunas, and steam rooms, and help ensure guest safety.
Keep fitness center equipment clean and in working condition.
Assist guests with supplies such as towels and soaps while providing courteous service.
Suggest treatments in other departments to support cross-selling.
Work effectively with others as part of a team.
