Memory Care Support Partner 7pm-7am $18-24.25 (Part Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is hiring a part-time Memory Care Support Partner at Vitalia Highland Heights in Highland Heights, Ohio. The role focuses on building empathetic human connections with residents, learning about residents’ interests and abilities, and patiently implementing appropriate engagement strategies. The Support Partner helps shape residents’ daily experiences by preparing spaces and rooms for meals, events, and nighttime routines, and partners with residents through daily activities from waking to bedtime. The position also involves documenting resident care and changes in condition and assisting with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Pay is $18–$24.25 per hour. The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping; lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds; and helping residents sit, stand, and walk, including assisting people after a fall.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Have a positive and energetic attitude and a willingness to work with residents.
- Have computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
- Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
- Be able to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, including assisting persons after a fall.
- Obtain criminal clearance.
Responsibilities
- Build empathetic connections with residents, particularly during vulnerable moments.
- Learn residents’ interests, abilities, and individual characteristics, and collaborate on and implement appropriate engagement plans.
- Prepare dining rooms, libraries, residents’ rooms, and other physical spaces for meals, events, and residents’ routines.
- Partner with residents in the facets of daily life from waking through bedtime.
- Document resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orienting team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist people after a fall.
