About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner helps residents in a memory care neighborhood with daily life and creates human connections through empathy and patient observation. The role involves learning each resident’s interests and abilities, collaborating on appropriate engagement plans, and helping create supportive environments and routines—from preparing dining and activity spaces to supporting residents’ nighttime routines. The position also includes documenting resident care and changes in condition, and assisting with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods. This is a part-time position at Vitalia Highland Heights in Highland Heights, Ohio. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Pay is $18 to $24.25 per hour.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive, energetic attitude and enthusiasm for working with residents.
Computer skills sufficient to print documents and enter resident information.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Criminal clearance.

Responsibilities

Create empathetic human connections with residents during vulnerable moments.
Observe residents to understand their interests, abilities, and individual characteristics.
Collaborate to create engagement plans and implement strategies patiently.
Prepare resident and community spaces for daily activities and routines, including dining, events, and nighttime routines.
Partner with residents to support daily life from waking through bedtime.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, and assist people after a fall.
