About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Support Partner for a Part Time position at The Wildwood Senior Living in Joplin, Missouri. This role involves creating human connection with residents, observing their interests and abilities to develop engagement plans, and setting the stage for a successful day through environmental preparation. The Memory Care Support Partner will also assist residents with daily life activities, document resident care, and help orient new team members in memory care neighborhoods. The company emphasizes an "Advocate of Empathy" approach, requiring patience and a positive attitude.
Requirements
- At least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
- Observe residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
- Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
- Prepare the dining room for breakfast, set up the library for an event, and prepare the resident’s room for their nighttime routine.
- Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
- Document resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
