About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Aide to join our team at Vitalia Active Adult Community Mentor. This full-time position offers a starting wage of $19.00-$21.00 per hour and a shift schedule of Sunday-Thursday, 11pm-7am. As a Memory Care Support Partner, you will be an Advocate of Empathy, creating human connection with residents during their vulnerable moments. You will also be a Patient Observer, discovering residents' interests and abilities to create appropriate engagement plans. Additionally, you will be a Master of the Mise en Scène, responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing dining areas, event spaces, and resident rooms. You will also act as a Life Partner, assisting residents with all facets of their daily lives, and be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition. A key part of this role includes assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Possess computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about residents.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
  • Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are, and collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
  • Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing the dining room for breakfast to setting up the library for an event, to preparing the resident’s room for their nighttime routine.
  • Partnering with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
  • Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
