About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Support Partner for a Full-Time position at Vitalia Active Adult Community Mentor in Mentor, Ohio. This role involves creating human connection with residents, understanding their interests and abilities, setting the stage for their daily experiences, and partnering with them throughout their day. The position also requires documenting resident care and assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods. Requirements

  • At least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
  • Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Be an Advocate of Empathy: Understand the importance of empathy and create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
  • Be a Patient Observer: Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are. Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
  • Be a Master of the Mise en Scène: Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing dining rooms to setting up activity spaces and preparing resident rooms for routines.
  • Be a Life Partner: Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
  • Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
