About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Aide to join our team at Vitalia Active Adult Community in North Royalton, Ohio. This full-time position offers a starting wage of $19.00 - $21.00 per hour. As a Memory Care Support Partner, you will be an "Advocate of Empathy," creating human connections with residents during their vulnerable moments. You will be a "Patient Observer," understanding residents' interests and abilities to create engagement plans. You will also be a "Master of the Mise en Scène," responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing environments for dining, events, and resident routines. Additionally, you will act as a "Life Partner," assisting residents with all facets of their daily lives from waking to sleep, documenting resident care, and assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods.

Requirements

At least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Computer skills for printing documents and entering resident information.
Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Understand residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
Create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
Set the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, event spaces, and resident rooms.
Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life.
Document resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
