About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner position is with Vitalia Senior Residences at Westlake, managed by Arrow Senior Living. Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
High school diploma, or equivalent
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with Residents
Positive and energetic attitude
Possess computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about Residents
Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall
Must be criminally cleared

Responsibilities

Be an “Advocate of Empathy” by understanding its importance and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments
Be a Patient Observer by discovering residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are, then collaborating to create appropriate engagement plans and implementing strategies with patience to ensure success
Be a Master of the Mise en Scène by setting the stage for a successful day, including preparing the dining room for breakfast, setting up the library for an event, and preparing the resident’s room for their nighttime routine
Be a Life Partner by partnering with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep
Document resident care and changes in condition
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods
