About The Position

The Memory Care Support Partner position at Vitalia Senior Residences at Westlake, managed by Arrow Senior Living, focuses on providing empathetic and personalized care to residents. The role involves creating meaningful connections, observing residents' interests to develop engagement plans, and setting up the physical environment to enhance their daily experience. Partners assist residents with all aspects of daily life from morning to night and are responsible for documenting care and changes in condition. Arrow Senior Living manages 34 senior living communities across 6 states, employing nearly 2,200 individuals and offering various levels of care including independent living, assisted living, and memory care.

Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with Residents.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Possess computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about Residents.
Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

Be an “Advocate of Empathy:” Understand the importance of empathy and create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
Be a Patient Observer: Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
Be a Master of the Mise en Scène: Set the stage for a successful day, from preparing the dining room for breakfast to setting up the library for an event, to preparing the resident’s room for their nighttime routine.
Be a Life Partner: Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
