About The Position

Our starting wage for Memory Care Support Partner is: $19.00-$21.00 per hour! Shift Schedule- Week 1: Monday/Saturday/Sunday & Week 2: Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 7am-7pm. Come join our team at Vitalia Highland Heights located at 305 Bishop Rd. Highland Heights, Ohio 44143! We are looking for someone (like you) to be an Advocate of Empathy, a Patient Observer, a Master of the Mise en Scène, and a Life Partner. You will be responsible for creating human connection with residents, discovering residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are, setting the stage for a successful day, and partnering with residents to achieve all facets of daily life. You will also be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition and assisting with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma, or equivalent.
• Can read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents!
• Positive and energetic attitude who will LOVE our Residents!
• Possess computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information about our Residents.
• Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
• Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy.
• Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
• Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
• Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
• Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day.
• Prepare your dining room for breakfast to setting up the library for an event, to preparing the resident’s room for their nighttime routine.
• Partnering with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
• Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
• Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
