About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Aide to join our team at Vitalia Active Adult Community at Montrose in Copley, Ohio. This full-time position offers a starting wage of $19.00-$21.00 per hour. As a Memory Care Support Partner, you will be an "Advocate of Empathy," creating human connections with residents during their vulnerable moments. You will be a "Patient Observer," discovering residents' interests and abilities to create engagement plans. You will also be a "Master of the Mise en Scène," responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing environments for dining, events, and resident routines. Additionally, you will act as a "Life Partner," assisting residents with all facets of their daily lives, documenting resident care and changes, and assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods.

Requirements

  • At least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
  • Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
  • Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
  • Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing dining rooms to setting up for events and preparing resident rooms.
  • Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
  • Document resident care and changes in condition.
  • Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
