About The Position

Crunchyroll is seeking a Membership Strategy Senior Manager to strengthen the value of its membership by understanding why fans join, what keeps them engaged, and how the company can deliver more value across its fan ecosystem. Reporting to the Senior Director of Membership Strategy in the Chief Strategy Officer organization, this role leads major strategic workstreams, evaluates membership opportunities, and turns analysis into recommendations that inform business decisions. The Senior Manager translates membership priorities into actionable plans and partners with leaders across SVOD Strategy, Commerce, Games, Digital Manga, Product, Finance, and regional markets to align strategy across the business. The role assesses membership value, benefits, tier differentiation, and strategic investment opportunities, including those that may shape the membership business over the next five to ten years. It models financial and membership impacts, develops recommendations on testing or introducing benefits, and manages projects from problem definition through analysis and recommendations. The position also supports planning and budgeting processes, works with Finance on membership economics and long-term models, and provides strategic input to Commercial Planning, which owns pricing, tiers, and promotions. The Senior Manager maintains global anime market sizing and fan segmentation frameworks, works with Research, Market Intelligence, and Data Analytics to identify trends, and presents evidence-based recommendations and tradeoffs to senior stakeholders. The role leads and reviews project work by professionals, supports senior leadership priorities, and helps improve the Strategy team's ways of working. The position follows a hybrid schedule with three days per week onsite at the Los Angeles office.
