About The Position

The Membership Specialist is an entry-level role in AAA’s branch network, serving members in person and over the phone with membership, insurance, billing, and other services. The position includes training on AAA products and services to support confident member interactions and individual and team cross-selling goals. Specialists may also assist agents and teammates, develop insurance leads, and perform services such as passport photos, road-trip planning, and cashiering. The role offers opportunities for advancement, skills-based pay increases, and monthly bonuses. Availability is required during branch operating hours, including rotating Saturdays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in insurance, retail sales, banking, or a similar customer service or sales environment.
• Advanced customer service skills.
• Ability to work overtime, including Saturdays.
• Ability to travel locally when necessary.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office basics.
• Proven ability to exceed assigned sales or service quality goals.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Adaptability to change and ability to meet deadlines.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to qualify for a Personal Lines Insurance License.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to members in the branch and over the phone regarding insurance policies, membership, insurance billing, and other member services.
• Provide services including passport photos, road-trip planning, and cashiering.
• Perform routine and advanced duties in support of agents and other team members.
• Develop insurance leads for office sales agents and life specialists.
• Work toward individual and team cross-selling goals.
