About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front desk activities, answers questions, assists with memberships and account updates, and helps maintain the club’s cleanliness. Other duties may be assigned based on club needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, upbeat attitude and a passion for fitness and health.
• Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
• Strong listening skills and the ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.

• Customer service background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
• Handle front desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, giving tours to prospective members, and signing up new members while calculating rates and monthly payment amounts.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting out the drawer as needed.
• Facilitate updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating them to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club by completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, helping complete the daily priority cleaning list, conducting periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and assisting with special cleaning projects as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
