About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front-desk activities, member account updates, questions and concerns, and helps maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club. Other duties may be assigned based on club needs.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
• Strong listening skills and ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Ability to demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
• Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones and assisting callers, checking members into the system, giving tours to prospective members, and signing up new members while calculating rates and monthly payments.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting out the drawer as needed.
• Facilitate needed updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating them to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club by completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, helping with the daily priority cleaning list, conducting periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and assisting with special cleaning projects as needed.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
