About The Position

Planet Fitness is seeking a Member Services Representative to create a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests. The position handles front-desk operations, member account updates, questions and concerns, and helps maintain the club’s cleanliness. The role is based at the Baymeadows location in Jacksonville, Florida.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers.
• Strong listening skills, empathy, and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
• Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, conducting tours for prospective members, signing up new members, and calculating rates and monthly payment amounts.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting the drawer as needed.
• Facilitate updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns professionally and promptly, escalating matters to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager when needed.
• Help maintain club neatness and cleanliness by completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, contributing to the daily priority cleaning list, performing periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and assisting with special cleaning projects.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
