About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing superior customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front-desk activities, supports membership sign-ups and account updates, responds to questions and concerns, and helps keep the club neat and clean. The position is part-time and is based at 160 South Nova Road in Ormond Beach, Florida.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
• Exceptional customer-service skills and ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
• Strong listening skills, empathy, and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language in all interactions.
• Continual standing and walking during the shift.
• Continual in-person or telephone conversation during the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
• Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones, checking members into the system, and taking prospective members on tours.
• Sign up new members and calculate rates and monthly payment amounts.
• Assist the Club Manager with counting out the drawer as needed.
• Facilitate updates to member accounts.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club, including completing assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, supporting the daily priority cleaning list, performing periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and helping with special cleaning projects.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
