About The Position

The Member Services Representative creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role handles front desk activities, member account updates, member questions and concerns, and helps maintain the club’s cleanliness. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on club needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Basic computer proficiency.
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive, upbeat attitude and a passion for fitness and health.
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers while exceeding member expectations.
Strong listening skills with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
Ability to demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions and use appropriate behavior and language.
Ability to stand and walk continually during the shift.
Ability to talk continually in person or on the phone during the shift.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
Check members into the system.
Give tours to prospective members.
Sign up new members and calculate rates and monthly payment amounts.
Assist the Club Manager with counting the drawer as needed.
Facilitate updates to member accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager as needed.
Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club, including completing daily assigned tasks within the first hour of the shift, helping complete the daily priority cleaning list, conducting periodic walk-around and bathroom checks, and assisting with special cleaning projects.
Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.
