About The Position
The Guilderland YMCA is seeking a Member Service Representative and a Childwatch Babysitter. The Childwatch Babysitter will be responsible for providing childcare services, and the Member Service Representative will handle customer service and sales-related tasks. Both positions require excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to relate to diverse community members. New hires will undergo various training programs within specified timeframes.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 16 or older (with valid NYS working papers for minors) for Babysitter position.
- Prior childcare or babysitting experience required for Babysitter position.
- Previous work experience (1-3 years) in customer service, sales or related experience for Member Service Representative position.
- Basic knowledge of computers for Member Service Representative position.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community.
Nice To Haves
- Babysitting Certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide childcare services as a Childwatch Babysitter.
- Handle customer service and sales-related tasks as a Member Service Representative.
- Relate to diverse groups in the community.
- Complete New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Blood-borne Pathogens trainings within 90 days of hire.
- Obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire.
