About The Position
The Guilderland YMCA is seeking individuals for two part-time positions: Childwatch Babysitter and Member Service Representative. Both roles offer competitive hourly wages and access to earned wages on demand through an Early Wage Access program. The Babysitter position requires prior childcare experience and is responsible for supervising children. The Member Service Representative position requires customer service and sales experience, along with basic computer knowledge, and will interact with diverse community members.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 16 or older (with valid NYS working papers for minors) for Babysitter.
- Prior childcare or babysitting experience required for Babysitter.
- Previous work experience (1-3 years) in customer service, sales or related experience for Member Service Representative.
- Basic knowledge of computers for Member Service Representative.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community.
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications (must be completed within 30 days of hire).
- New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Blood-borne Pathogens trainings (must be completed within 90 days of hire).
Nice To Haves
- Babysitting Certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children in the Childwatch area.
- Provide customer service and sales support.
- Assist diverse groups in the community.
- Complete required new employee trainings within specified timeframes.
