About The Position
The Troy YMCA is seeking a Childwatch Babysitter to provide childcare services. This position offers flexibility with an Early Wage Access program, allowing employees to access a portion of their earned wages on demand. The role requires a minimum age of 16 and prior childcare experience. Successful candidates will also need to complete various training programs within specified timeframes after hiring.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 16 or older (with valid NYS working papers for minors).
- Prior childcare or babysitting experience required.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications (completed within 30 days of hire)
- New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Blood-borne Pathogens trainings (completed within 90 days of hire)
Nice To Haves
- Babysitting Certification is preferred.
