About The Position
The Bethlehem YMCA is seeking three Childwatch Babysitters. This role offers flexibility with an Early Wage Access (EWA) program, allowing employees to access a portion of their earned wages on demand. The position is part-time, requiring less than 28 hours per week, with a set schedule on Saturdays from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, and potential for additional shifts. The hourly rate is $16/hour.
Requirements
- Minimum age of 16 or older (with valid NYS working papers for minors).
- Prior childcare or babysitting experience required.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community.
Nice To Haves
- Babysitting Certification is preferred.
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications (completed within 30 days of hire).
- New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Blood-borne Pathogens trainings (completed within 90 days of hire).
Responsibilities
- Supervise children in the Childwatch area.
- Ensure a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding their child's activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Childwatch area.
