Member of Technical Staff (Backend)

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Backend Engineer to join our team at ThoughtSpot. As a hands-on engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and driving the backend systems, with a focus on scalability and efficiency. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential in this role. Strong coding skills, a deep understanding of distributed systems, and problem-solving abilities are required. Experience in developing high-performance data platforms is a plus. • Design and implement scalable backend systems that process and manage large volumes of customer data
• Analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our backend systems
• Write robust code and write functional, performance, and system test suites
• Work as a member of a team, helping the team respond quickly and effectively to business needs

• Strong coding skills with 3+ years of experience in modern languages such as Java
• Ability to write clean, effective code and drill deep on technical implementation
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
• Good understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and availability
• Strong problem-solving skills and algorithmic thinking
• Strong foundation in how systems work
• Experience in designing and developing scale-out, high-performance data platforms is a plus
