About The Position

As a Medium Voltage Distribution Systems Engineer at Evolution Well Services (EVO), you will design and engineer medium voltage (2.4kV, 4.16kV, and 13.8kV) distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, and protection systems supporting EVO's hydraulic fracturing fleet operations. The role calls for strong expertise in power system studies, protection relay coordination, medium voltage equipment specification, and applicable codes and standards. The engineer works with internal cross-functional teams and external manufacturers and vendors to deliver safe, reliable, high-quality power distribution designs efficiently and within budget. The position is based at the company's corporate office in The Woodlands, Texas. It is full-time, salary-exempt, and reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with daily overtime required. Travel is 15%–25% (listed as up to 25%). The engineer provides technical guidance to electrical engineers and designers, supports equipment testing and commissioning, and assists operations and root cause investigations. Work is primarily indoors, but visits to wellsites may involve hazardous materials, operating conditions, noise up to 85 dB, and varied or extreme weather. Site visits may require company-issued personal protective equipment and compliance with safety policies.
