About The Position

Workday is seeking a Medium Enterprise Account Executive to join their Field Sales organization. This role is crucial for driving new customer growth by focusing on net new revenue. The Account Executive will guide new customers in transitioning from legacy platforms to Workday's enterprise management cloud. The team emphasizes partnering with customers to create solutions that deliver long-lasting value and ensuring customer satisfaction from the initial engagement and ongoing. This role involves developing strategies for prioritizing, targeting, and closing key opportunities within an assigned territory. It also includes performing account planning, coordinating with pre-sales and other resources for strategic alignment, initiating and supporting sales of Workday solutions to Medium Enterprise prospects, and sharing Workday's value propositions. Maintaining accurate and timely customer/prospect, pipeline, and service forecast data is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience selling SaaS/Cloud based ERP / HCM / Financial / Planning / or Analytics solutions to C-levels from a field sales position.
  • 4+ years experience negotiating deals with a variety of C-Suite Executives to close opportunities
  • 4+ years experience in engaging in a programmatic approach to generate and develop leads within your territory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven track record in a high-velocity sales cycle, including prospecting for a portion of opportunities
  • Understanding of the strategic competitive landscape of the industry by staying up to date with trends and customer needs so you can effectively position Workday solutions within accounts
  • Experience leveraging and partnering with internal team members on account strategies

Responsibilities
