About The Position

Spring Arbor of Sevierville is hiring a full-time Medication Technician for day shifts in its Assisted Living area. The Medication Assistant provides resident care, including assistance with self-administration of medication, under the supervision of the Resident Care Director (RCD) and according to scheduled duties. The role also helps maintain a positive physical and social environment for residents.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess current Medication Training certification.
• Must have a positive criminal background screening.
• Must adhere to the company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one year of experience with senior adults is highly preferred.
• May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA), depending on state requirements; if licensed or certified, must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.
• CPR and first aid certification preferred or required by the state.
• Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Approach residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Assist residents with medications as allowed under state guidelines.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Communicate daily with Resident Services associates to support continuity of resident care and services.
• Participate in resident activities and lead activities as needed.
• Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner, prioritizing resident satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
