About The Position

The Medication Technician provides resident care services to residents in the Assisted Living area, including assistance with self-administration of medication under State guidelines and the supervision of the Resident Care Director (RCD). The role follows scheduled duties and helps maintain a positive physical and social environment for residents.

The Medication Technician also supports residents with activities of daily living, communicates with Resident Services associates to ensure continuity of care, and participates in or leads resident activities as needed. The position prioritizes friendly, courteous, service-oriented interactions with residents, associates, and visitors.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess current Medication Training certification.
• Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
• Must adhere to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy; associates are subject to it.
• If licensed or certified as a CNA or NA, must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one year of experience with senior adults is highly preferred.
• May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA), depending on State requirements.
• CPR and first aid certification preferred or as required by the State.
• Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with self-administering medications in accordance with State guidelines.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, linen changes, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Communicate daily with Resident Services associates to ensure continuity of care and services.
• Participate in resident activities and lead activities as needed.
• Provide friendly, helpful, courteous, service-oriented care to residents, associates, and visitors, prioritizing resident satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
