About The Position

Bellingham at West Chester is hiring a hospitality-focused Medication Technician to support residents in a senior living community. The position is full-time, scheduled from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., with rotating weekends. The starting salary is $22.00 per hour. The role involves assisting residents with daily care, carrying out treatments and procedures, documenting observations and care, and safely preparing, administering, and charting medications. Requirements

Successfully complete the state-approved Medicine Aide Course and, when applicable, the continuing education course.
Be able to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
Hold a current Medication Tech Certification, including required testing and observation hours.
Hold a current diabetic training certification.
Have a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
Give treatments, perform tests, carry out procedures, and collect specimens as instructed.
Report and record observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed.
Answer signal lights promptly.
Change bed linens, make beds, and keep rooms clean and orderly.
Safely prepare, administer, and chart oral, topical, and suppository medications.
Check and prepare each dose immediately before administration.
Document care given.
