About The Position

Spring Arbor of Cary is hiring a part-time Medication Technician (also referred to as a Medication Assistant) to provide care services to Assisted Living residents. The role includes assisting with residents’ self-administration of medication as permitted by state guidelines and providing daily living support. The Medication Assistant works under the supervision of the Resident Care Director and follows scheduled duties while helping maintain a positive physical and social environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Current Medication Training certification.
Must pass a criminal background screening.
Must comply with the company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience with senior adults is highly preferred.
CNA or NA license/certification in good standing, depending on state requirements.
CPR and First Aid certification, preferred or as required by the state.
Experience with computerized resident documentation systems.

Responsibilities

Approach residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Assist residents with medications as allowed under state guidelines.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
Communicate daily with Resident Services associates to support continuity of resident care and services.
Participate in resident activities and lead activities as needed.
Meet customer service standards and prioritize resident satisfaction.
Perform other assigned job duties.
