About The Position

Spring Arbor of Kinston is hiring a part-time Medication Technician to support residents in its Assisted Living area. Under the supervision of the Resident Care Director, the Medication Assistant provides resident care, assists with self-administration of medication in accordance with State guidelines, and helps maintain a positive physical and social environment. The role involves working closely with Resident Services associates to support continuity of care and building positive relationships with residents.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess current Medication Training certification.
• Must have a positive criminal background screening.
• Associates must adhere to the company's Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience with senior adults is highly preferred.
• May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA), depending on State requirements; if licensed or certified, must be in good standing with the State licensing or certifying agency.
• CPR and first aid certification is preferred or may be required by the State.
• Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Approach residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Assist residents with medications as allowed under State guidelines.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Communicate daily with Resident Services associates to help maintain continuity of resident care and services.
• Participate in resident activities and lead activities as needed.
• Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner, prioritizing resident satisfaction.
• Perform other assigned job duties.
