About The Position

The Medication Assistant provides resident care services in the Assisted Living area, including assistance with self-administration of medication, under the supervision of the Resident Care Director (RCD) and according to scheduled duties. The role also helps maintain a positive physical and social environment for residents. The position is part-time, with shifts from 2:45 PM to 11:00 PM or 10:45 PM to 7:00 AM, and pays $17.69 to $21.92 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess current Medication Training certification.
• Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
• Must adhere to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy; associates are subject to the policy.
• If licensed or certified as a CNA or NA, must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience with senior adults is highly preferred.
• May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA), depending on state requirements.
• CPR and first aid certification is preferred or may be required by the state.
• Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Approach interactions with residents, associates, and visitors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Assist residents with medications as allowed under state guidelines.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Maintain daily communication with Resident Services associates to support continuity of resident care and services.
• Participate in resident activities and lead activities as needed.
• Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner, prioritizing resident satisfaction.
• Perform other assigned job duties.
