Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months of related experience and/or training, required
Active Florida Medication Technician Certification required
Ability to read and understand safety rules and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively communicate with residents, visitors, and other team members
Ability to produce a negative drug test required

Nice To Haves

Active CPR Certification preferred (can train on-site)

Responsibilities

Assist residents with the self-administration of prescribed medications under nurse supervision, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
Monitor residents for medication responses, take vital signs as directed, and report changes or concerns promptly to the Charge Nurse
Support residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, ambulation, hydration, meals, and safe transfers while promoting independence
Maintain a safe, clean environment and uphold resident rights, confidentiality, infection control, and safety standards, reporting incidents or suspected abuse immediately
