About The Position

Columbia Cottage is seeking experienced Medication Technicians / Caregivers to help improve the quality of life for seniors in its Linglestown, Pennsylvania assisted living community. The role involves medication administration and monitoring, resident support, and hands-on assistance with daily living activities. The community describes its setting as warm and home-like and emphasizes personalized, high-quality care and meaningful relationships with residents.

This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling. The listed evening shift is 2:45 PM–11:15 PM. Positions require working every other weekend and holiday unless otherwise noted. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour, with shift differentials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medication Technician certification.
• Experience in assisted living, senior care, or healthcare.

Nice To Haves

• Diabetes training.
• CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer medications according to physician orders.
• Assist residents with taking medications safely and effectively.
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and side effects.
• Accurately document medication administration in the MAR.
• Obtain vital signs, blood glucose, and other ordered measurements.
• Provide residents with encouragement, education, and emotional support.
• Deliver hands-on care and assist residents with activities of daily living.
