Medication Assistant, Assisted Living - Part-Time
About The Position
The Medication Assistant supports residents in Assisted Living and potentially Memory Care by maintaining, ordering, and assisting with medication needs. The role also includes transcribing and documenting information in the Medication Assistance Record; helping residents with activities of daily living; taking vital signs; providing first aid and wound care; and communicating with outside health care professionals as needed. The Medication Assistant transports residents around the community, responds promptly and appropriately to emergency calls and resident or visitor requests, and addresses environmental hazards safely. This is a part-time position with shifts from 7 a.m.–3 p.m., 3 p.m.–11 p.m., or 11 p.m.–7 a.m., on varied weekdays and every other weekend. Compensation starts at $19.00 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Meet all state educational requirements for the position.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification preferred.
- Experience working with an elderly population preferred.
- A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, order, and assist residents with medication needs.

- Communicate with outside health care professionals as necessary.
- Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
- Respond to emergency calls, resident and visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
