About The Position

The Medication Assistant supports residents in Assisted Living and potentially Memory Care by maintaining, ordering, and assisting with medication needs, and by transcribing and documenting information in the Medication Assistance Record. The role also includes assisting residents with activities of daily living, taking vital signs, providing first aid and wound care, and communicating with outside health care professionals as necessary. Medication Assistants transport residents within the community and respond promptly, appropriately, and safely to emergency calls, requests from residents or visitors, and environmental hazards.

The position is part-time, with shifts scheduled from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., or 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Shifts vary by weekday and include every other weekend.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities
