About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Technologist to join a high-performing acute care laboratory team. The selected candidate will perform a broad range of clinical laboratory testing across multiple disciplines, contributing to accurate and timely diagnostic support for patient care.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology/Laboratory Science OR Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
Active certification: MLT (ASCP), MT (ASCP), or MLS (ASCP) – required
Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality systems
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience
Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and workflow processes

Responsibilities

Perform waived, moderate, and high-complexity testing in compliance with CLIA regulations
Conduct testing in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, molecular diagnostics, urinalysis, and immunohematology
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments while ensuring quality control standards
Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions as needed
Prepare reagents, standards, and controls according to established protocols
Review, validate, and accurately report laboratory test results
Ensure adherence to safety protocols for handling biological and hazardous materials
Collaborate with pathologists and clinical teams to support diagnostic interpretation and additional testing needs
Assist in training and mentoring junior laboratory staff as required
