About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist (MLS/MT/MLT) to join a high-performing clinical laboratory team. This role involves performing a broad range of diagnostic laboratory tests that support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling complex laboratory procedures across multiple disciplines.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science OR Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field
  • MLT (ASCP), MT (ASCP), or MLS (ASCP) – Required

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical laboratory experience
  • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and diagnostic processes
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform waived, moderately complex, and highly complex laboratory testing in accordance with CLIA regulations.
  • Conduct testing in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunohematology, urinalysis, and molecular diagnostics.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and analyzers.
  • Accurately analyze, validate, and report patient test results.
  • Perform routine quality control and ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment per established protocols.
  • Identify and troubleshoot instrumentation issues and abnormal findings.
  • Implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Prepare reagents, standards, and quality control materials.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines for handling hazardous, biological, and radioactive materials.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate critical and routine lab results with clinical staff and physicians.
  • Collaborate with laboratory team members to ensure workflow efficiency.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff when needed.
  • Recommend additional or confirmatory testing when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records.
  • Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Stay updated with advancements in laboratory science and technology.
