Medical Surgical Nurse
About The Position
As a Medical Surgical Nurse at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary, you will deliver compassionate, high-quality care that supports patients’ well-being and recovery. You will work with the surgical and nursing team, communicate patient details, and attend to patients’ emotional and informational needs. Previous orthopedic-unit experience is not necessary; training is provided. The role involves providing individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and implementing patient care plans. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment focused on patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the State of Arkansas.
- Six months of acute care experience; new graduates or nurses without acute care experience are hired through the residency training program.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Keen assessment skills, acute critical thinking, a patient-first mindset, enthusiasm to help others, and dedication to excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous orthopedic or neuroscience experience is preferred but not required.
