About The Position

As a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) at AZ General Hospital Mesa, you will deliver compassionate, high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to support patients’ well-being and recovery. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered Nurse license in Arizona.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• One year of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, safe, effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes.
• Recognize changes in patients’ conditions, including laboratory results, vital signs, and test values, and respond in a timely, clinically appropriate manner.
• Delegate tasks based on patient needs, potential for harm, patient stability, task complexity, outcome predictability, and scope of skill and practice.
• Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide care that is sensitive to patients’ cultural values, beliefs, and customs.
• Apply negotiation and conflict-management strategies.
• Perform critical assessments and skilled procedures, implement patient care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
