About The Position

The Medical Scribe works closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to accurately document patient encounters, medical histories, and treatment plans. The role offers an opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a healthcare career or gaining experience in a clinical setting. The organization provides inpatient and outpatient mental health care across 9 states and more than 30 facilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong typing skills and proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Familiarity with medical terminology and a basic understanding of medical procedures.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a Medical Scribe training program.

Responsibilities

Accurately and efficiently transcribe physician-patient encounters in real time during medical examinations.
Document patient medical histories, including medications, allergies, and past medical procedures.
Assist with organizing and managing patient medical records.
Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify and verify information as needed.
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Attend and participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuing education opportunities.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Attend scheduled work shifts.
