About The Position
The Women's Imaging Center, a practice partner of Together Women's Health, is seeking a full-time Medical Scheduler for its Denver/Cherry Creek team. The role is focused on providing an exceptional patient experience through professional, warm, and caring interactions while meeting individual patient needs and referring physicians’ orders. The scheduler manages a high volume of appointments and referrals and accurately records appointment details, special instructions, and patient information in the EHR system.
Requirements
- College degree from an accredited university or college.
- Basic knowledge of radiology terminology.
- Experience with an EHR system such as Athena or Epic.
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
- Professionalism.
- Computer, technology, and EHR proficiency.
- Ability to spell accurately.
- Ability to maintain attention and accuracy and multitask in a busy environment.
- Accurate and fast typing skills.
- Effective listening skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to new systems and follow directions.
- Reliable transportation and impeccable attendance.
- Ability to follow established scheduling protocols and willingness to learn and develop scheduling skills.
- Ability to perform other assigned job duties.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in women's radiology or women's health.
- Athena EHR experience.
Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments for Breast and Body MRIs, screening mammograms, Breast and Body ultrasounds, DEXAs, and other services.
- Attend to incoming referrals and orders and fax information as needed.
- Schedule follow-up appointments.
- Check voicemail and return messages.
- Answer live calls, make cold calls, and transfer calls.
- Sort and distribute incoming faxes.
- Accurately enter medical appointments, special instructions, and patient information into the EHR system.
- Schedule between 70 and 100 appointments per day.
