About The Position
The Women's Imaging Center, a practice partner of Together Women's Health, is seeking a full-time Medical Scheduler in Denver/Cherry Creek. The Medical Scheduler is committed to providing an exceptional patient experience and ensuring each patient interaction is professional, warm, and caring. The role meets individual patient needs while ensuring referring physicians' orders are followed. The scheduler handles a high volume of appointments, entering appointment details, special instructions, and patient information accurately into the EHR system.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of radiology terminology.
- Excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
- Professionalism.
- Experience with an EHR system such as Athena or Epic.
- Computer, technology, and EHR proficiency.
- Ability to spell accurately.
- Ability to maintain attention and accuracy and multitask in a busy environment.
- Fast and accurate typing skills.
- Effective listening skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to new systems.
- Ability to follow directions and set scheduling protocols.
- Reliable transportation and impeccable attendance.
- Openness to learning and developing scheduling skills and abilities.
- A college degree from an accredited university or college.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in women's radiology or women's health.
- Athena EHR experience.
Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments for Breast and Body MRIs, screening mammograms, breast and body ultrasounds, DEXAs, and other services.
- Process incoming referrals and orders, and fax as needed for mammograms, ultrasounds, MRIs, and other services.
- Schedule follow-up appointments.
- Check voicemail and return messages.
- Answer live calls, make cold calls, and transfer calls.
- Sort and distribute incoming faxes.
- Accurately enter medical appointments, special instructions, and patient information into the EHR system.
- Schedule between 70 and 100 appointments per day per scheduler.
- Perform other assigned job duties.
