About The Position

The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for the successful utilization of the electronic medical record (EMR). This role involves working with physicians, office staff, nursing management, and staff to utilize the EMR through auditing, analysis, and training. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum of one year in nursing management in the long-term industry
  • Two years of professional nursing experience in long-term care, acute care, restorative care or geriatric nursing setting

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the successful utilization of the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Work with physicians, office staff, nursing management and staff to utilize the EMR through auditing, analysis, and training
  • Ensure the medical record is complete and accurate
  • Teach and motivate staff, vendors, and other key stakeholders to ensure the database and records comply with company, Federal, and State guidelines
  • Work with hospitals, physicians, nursing staff, and leadership to ensure that all records are obtained and maintained in the EMR
  • Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for our residents and staff
