About The Position

Live to Move Physical Therapy & Wellness is seeking a medical receptionist to support the daily operations of its only clinic, located on the border of Manvel and Pearland. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and able to communicate compassionately and clearly in writing and verbally. The role involves welcoming and assisting patients and visitors, handling inquiries, verifying insurance benefits, maintaining patient chart information and privacy, scheduling appointments, and explaining and collecting payments.

Requirements

• Compassion and the ability to communicate delicate matters, such as costs, to patients in pain.
• Positive, high-energy attitude.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with office equipment such as printers, fax machines, and scanners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Excel.
• Proficiency with internet-based computer programs in general.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound phone calls and general email inquiries.
• Serve as the point person for patients and visitors entering the clinic.
• Verify patient insurance benefits using online services and/or phone communication.
• Accurately enter and maintain patient chart information while protecting patient privacy.
• Set up and maintain patient schedules, including using a waitlist to fill cancellations.
• Explain and collect payments using a point-of-sale device.
