About The Position

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a customer-focused Medical Receptionist to serve as a first point of contact for patients and visitors. The role helps create a positive patient experience while supporting efficient office operations and exceptional patient care. The Medical Receptionist works with providers and clinical staff to support smooth patient visits and day-to-day office operations. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or be between the ages of 15 and 17 with a valid work permit from their high school.
One to two years of experience in a medical or physician office or customer service environment is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Coursework in insurance or billing, medical practice education, or seminars is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
Check patients in and verify registration and insurance information.
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately.
Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
Partner with providers and clinical staff to help ensure a smooth patient experience.
