About The Position

MainStreet Family Care is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Payment Poster to join its revenue cycle team. The role supports the accurate recording and posting of medical payments and the smooth processing of financial transactions related to patient services. The position is on-site in Birmingham, Alabama, with a Monday-through-Friday schedule between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

Requirements

• Proven experience in medical payment posting, preferably in an urgent care or healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with medical billing software and proficiency in using financial systems.
• Knowledge of healthcare payment processes, including EOB interpretation and insurance claim reconciliation.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with insurance companies, patients, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately post and reconcile payments from various sources.
• Collaborate with the billing team to resolve payment discrepancies.
• Verify that payments are applied properly based on explanations of benefits (EOBs).
• Identify and promptly resolve payment issues.
• Generate and analyze payment reports to provide insights.
• Maintain accurate payment records and ensure confidentiality.
• Work with team members to optimize payment processes.
